About Me

Hi there! My name is Debdipta Goswami, and I am doing a study, travel, and repeat for the past 5 years. I hail from the city of Calcutta on the bank of the Hooghly river in India and I am currently doing my PhD in the University of Maryland, College Park.

When I am not slogging in the lab or trying to write a paper, you can probably find me driving my modest Hyundai Sonata amidst the fall foliage, or on an international flight trying to tick off another country from my bucket list, or at my radio station calling CQ on the 40m band, and striking up a conversation with a complete stranger in Slovenia.

Capturing lights and sounds is something that drives me. A Nikon d810 and a Fuji X100T accompanies me in my adventures of trapping light. My Flickr page has some of its fruits. Trapping sounds from the airwaves is something I love, and with the help of the modest radio station at my tiny apartment, I have been able to talk with random people as far as from eastern Europe. My Ham radio operation can be looked at here.

Now that you have ultimately stumbled upon my crazy world, please buckle up! There will be a lot to explore.
